It fulfils tasks of the state by commissioning private commercial enterprises, or sometimes even setting up such enterprises itself. This means that private commercial processes and administrative procedures are increasingly intertwined, creating new legal fields of tension which involve both civil law and public law. This must be handled by law firms which are familiar both with the private business perspective and the requirements of public authorities and corporations Our team provides legal advice in the health care sector, in utility supply and disposal and in the implementation of major infrastructure projects.

We provide guidance and support to the national government, the federal states, local communities, public organisations and social insurance institutions in areas such as public procurement – and we also advise private companies if they receive public subsidies.

We are normally involved in public construction projects even in the planning phase. Our tasks include giving consideration to environmental factors and defining the liability provisions for old contamination. We also provide guidance and support for privatisation processes and the development of cooperation models.
