Challenge: Transforming PDF studies into interactive web brochures

To allow a faster, more flexible and better analysable interaction with clients and partners, the main task was to translate the HR studies, which had been published in print for so many years, from a PDF format into an interactive online brochure.

The pilot project involved an employment research study that has been published in 3 countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This initial project was a joint project between the Hays editorial team and the Webmag team - including co-creation of the study and an accompanying training programme.

In order to integrate special statistics that Hays creates within another software tool, a snippet has been developed to allow the prepared statistics to be perfectly integrated into formats created with Webmag. This specially created snippet also enables Hays to repeatedly do this themselves in future projects.

At first, the study was protected by a password and only accessible upon submission of a valid email address. Single articles of the study would then be freely available and posted on the company's social media channels, resulting in additional interaction with the target groups.

Digital employment market studies for communication with clients and partners

Beside the highly successful implementation of the HR study "Workforce Management", the realisation of further digital studies is initiated. In the process, the studies that Hays creates for digital communication with its clients and partners are not provided as PDFs, but as browser-based, responsive web formats that are published on a Hays subdomain. These single issues are also implemented by the Hays team on their own. By using the Webmag platform centrally, Hays gets the opportunity to publish individual studies and reports for different clients as a digital format - thus providing clients with a completely new experience.

„Recruiting initiatives function at the same time as the company's 'business card' and should mirror the corporate identity accordingly. The many positive reactions indicate that we have touched a nerve with our innovative magazine. Among many companies there is a strong need to explore new and innovative paths, particularly in the field of recruitment. That's exactly where our new concept comes in.“
